Pot Holes

As with the road name signs in Grovehill, we thought it would be a good idea to do the same with pot holes.

The maintenance of most roads are the responsibility of Herts Highways, so Colette will most likely be dealing with the cast majority of pot holes. Some roads however, come under the jurisdiction of Dacorum Borough Council and so Julie, Goverdhan or Alex will be dealing with those.

Putters Croft. This is particularly annoying for residents as pot holes were filled in during the first lock-down of 2020. To everyone's astonishment however, the repairs only lasted three or four weeks! Seriously? Doesn't anyone come out and check them?

Up to 6m from the road is the responsibility of Herts Highways, at the entrance of Henry Wells Square. Beyond that, it's down to Dacorum Borough Council.
Yeah, it's difficult to see in this picture but the now well known, "Link Road Ridge" in Piccotts End, is causing havoc with the suspension on older vehicles and it doesn't seem to have been picked up on any local authority's radar. In fact, some of us think that it's a potential safety hazard.
