Okay, so I’m litter picking. Nothing particularly unusual there but please bear with me.
Last night Julie and I were out walking and in and around the subway pictured, there was a lot of litter, including broken glass. Well, I just couldn’t leave it and decided to come back this evening, to clear it up.
As I approached the subway, it became apparent that it had already been cleared. While walking up the other side, a voice called out; “Alistair did that.”
A woman (Samantha) who was walking her dog kindly told me about Alistair who regularly picks litter in, not just this subway but another one, too.
As we were talking, guess who walked by. Yes, it was Alistair. I thanked him for what he does on a regular basis. He didn’t want to be identified and was quite modest about his litter-picking adventures, so I left it at that.
The litter I’ve collected in the picture, is from the rest of my evening walk of which I have several routes around Grovehill. Hopefully as the Facebook group expands, we’ll be able to organise litter picks across the ward.
