REG 19 PUBLIC CONSULTATION
4th NOVEMBER 2024 - 17th DECEMBER 2024
Your Opinion counts – if you are keen to protect greenbelt, address the need for more housing for local people or employment opportunities for the future, this consultation is a must.
New consultation on the Dacorum local plan to 2041.
Dacorum Borough Council is consulting on the Dacorum Local Plan to 2041 for a period of six weeks from 12pm (noon) on Monday 4 November 2024 until 12pm (noon) on Tuesday 17 December 2024.
The Local Plan to 2041 allocates sites and includes policies to shape development for the borough.
Julie and Alex would strongly recommend you take a look at this Local Plan, it gives a clear steer as to where developers can build new homes up until and can be viewed online at: letstalk.dacorum.gov.uk/hub-page/newlocalplan.
For those who prefer, a paper copy of the Local Plan can be inspected at:
- Borough Council offices in the borough (during normal opening hours)
www.dacorum.gov.uk/home/do-it-online/contact-us
- Public libraries within the borough (during normal opening hours)

HAVE YOUR SAY
Responses must be made using the required comments form, which is available HERE and in paper form at the locations above.
As we expect a high volume of comments, the comments form has been standardised to make it easy for the council to collate. The council will only consider responses made using the comments form. They will not be able to consider confidential or anonymous responses or comments on social media.
Please note that all comments will be made public and will be submitted to the Secretary of State alongside the Dacorum Local Plan to 2041 and its supporting documents. The representations will be considered as part of a public examination held by an independent Planning Inspector. Your comments and name will be published but other information will remain confidential.

With climate change high on everyone’s agenda (or at least it should be) it seems ironic that the government wants to build, build, build and that means compromising natural drainage. Since the development of a particular housing estate in Leighton Buzzard some twenty years ago, residents have had to put up with regular flooding. Central Bedfordshire County Council are saying that there’s nothing they can do.
